Color Branding | What does color say about your brand?

What does the color of your product packaging say about your brand?

In what ways did you consider color when choosing packaging and labeling for your brand? Did you choose your favorite color, did you choose a color that makes you feel good or changes your mood? Colors register with the subconscious and can impact the way you feel, not to mention consumers' buying preferences.

Manufacturers have studied how colors and color combinations affect consumer buying preferences. The results of those studies can be the basis upon which manufacturers select colors for their product packaging and promotional materials.

- Introduction to Color Theory

With colors you can set a mood, attract attention, or make a statement. You can use color to energize, or to cool down. By selecting the right color scheme, you can create an ambiance of elegance, warmth or tranquility, or you can convey an image of playful youthfulness. Color can be your most powerful design element if you learn to use it effectively.

I chose the color Red for my logo and branding

Color Meaning

Red Color Red

Red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

Red is a very emotionally intense color. It enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure. It has very high visibility, which is why stop signs, stoplights, and fire equipment are usually painted red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. It is a color found in many national flags.

Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites. In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc). This color is also commonly associated with energy.

Light red represents joy, sexuality, passion, sensitivity, and love.
Pink signifies romance, love, and friendship. It denotes feminine qualities and passiveness.
Dark red is associated with vigor, willpower, leadership, courage, and longing.

Red is the warmest of all colors. Red is the color most chosen by extroverts. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Brides wear red and front doors are often painted red. Red is Tuesday's color. Red roses symbolize passionate love. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand.

Red Energy

Red is the color of blood, and as such has strong symbolism as life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the color of passion and lust.

Put some red in your life when you want:

  • increased enthusiasm and interest
  • more energy
  • action and confidence to go after your dreams
  • protection from fears and anxieties

I believe the color RED is a real reflection of me and the strength and power I want my brand to convey. I want customers to be excited about Danni Davis Skin and the products we offer. I want them to feel empowered and confident when deciding to purchase items in our bodycare line. I want our clients to be excited and energized and even to feel a little tinge of danger.

Be well, ddse+m
